The Confectioners

The Confectioners

Sweet treats have tickled the fancy for centuries past, firstly as after dinner treat for the aristocracy, before 19th century innovations such as the candy press and revolving steam pan led to a sugary treat being in easy reach on any highstreet. The work of Messers Fry and Cadbury cannot be forgotten, adding chocolate to an ever expanding selection of bonbons, lollipops, sherbet lemons and more...

This room sits at the top of the building with views stretching out across the market square. With the original timber rafters zigzagging across the ceiling, this room (and the neighbouring Biscuiteers) are the best spot to capture the last of the glazing orange sunset glow with a glass of wine (and maybe a sherbet lemon) in hand!
